1. What this policy covers
This policy applies to one-time and recurring charitable gifts made to EBRC through this website. It does not govern future event tickets, registrations, merchandise, or other purchases, which may have separate terms.
2. Secure payment processing
Online gifts are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects the payment details needed to complete the transaction and applies its own privacy and security practices. EBRC receives the donor name, contact and billing information made available by Stripe, gift amount, date, selected fund, frequency, and transaction status. This website does not store complete card or bank-account numbers.
3. Gift designations
We intend to use designated gifts for the selected fund. If a designated purpose is fully funded, completed, discontinued, impracticable, or no longer able to receive the gift as intended, EBRC may use the funds for a closely related ministry purpose or where they are most needed, consistent with applicable law and any binding donor restriction accepted by the church.
4. Monthly gifts
By selecting a monthly gift, you authorize Stripe to charge the payment method you provide at the displayed interval until canceled. To change or cancel a monthly gift, email revetuduchrist@gmail.com or call (917) 484-3573. Please contact us at least three business days before the next scheduled charge. A cancellation stops future charges but does not automatically refund gifts already processed.
5. Refunds and payment errors
Charitable gifts are generally final. We will review requests involving a duplicate charge, incorrect amount, unauthorized transaction, technical error, or other exceptional circumstance. Contact us as soon as possible, preferably within 30 days of the charge, with the donor name, date, amount, and reason for the request. Do not email complete card or bank information.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when possible. Processing times are controlled in part by Stripe and the financial institution. EBRC may decline a request when funds have already been committed, when the request conflicts with law or payment-network rules, or when we cannot verify the transaction.
6. Receipts and tax information
Stripe normally sends an electronic confirmation after a successful online gift. Keep your receipt and financial records. A gift may be deductible only to the extent allowed by law and based on the church's applicable tax status and whether anything of value was received in return. Donors are responsible for their own tax reporting and should consult a qualified tax adviser. For a giving statement or written acknowledgment, contact the church. Please tell us if the gift relates to an event, benefit, or other exchange so any required value disclosure can be addressed.
7. Failed, disputed, or fraudulent transactions
A gift is not complete until the payment processor confirms it. We may pause or cancel a transaction that appears unauthorized, fraudulent, or unlawful. Before filing a payment dispute, please contact the church so we can investigate promptly. Nothing in this policy limits rights provided by applicable law or your payment provider.
8. Giving support
For a receipt, recurring-gift change, refund review, or giving question, use the contact information below. Include only the donor name, gift date, amount, and a safe way to reach you.
