1. Agreement and permitted use
These Terms govern your use of ebrcchurch.org. By using the site, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You may use the site for lawful, personal, and noncommercial purposes, including learning about EBRC, contacting the church, viewing ministry content, and making gifts.
2. Church and website information
We work to keep service times, events, ministry information, and other content accurate, but schedules and details may change. Website content is provided for general informational and spiritual purposes and is not legal, medical, financial, mental-health, or emergency advice. For an immediate emergency, call 911. Contact the church directly to confirm time-sensitive information.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use the site to:
- break the law, infringe another person's rights, or threaten or harass anyone;
- submit false, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, or malicious material;
- attempt to access systems or information without authorization;
- introduce malware, disrupt the site, evade security controls, or overload website services;
- scrape, copy, or exploit site content for commercial use without written permission; or
- misrepresent an affiliation with EBRC or use the church's name, logo, photographs, or content to solicit money without authorization.
We may restrict access, preserve evidence, or report activity when reasonably necessary to protect the church, its users, or others.
4. Messages and submissions
You are responsible for information you submit and confirm that you have the right to provide it. Do not submit payment credentials, Social Security numbers, medical records, or other unnecessary sensitive information through the contact form. Sending a message does not create a professional, fiduciary, or legally privileged relationship. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Church content and intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the site's design, text, sermons, recordings, photographs, graphics, logo, and other original content belong to EBRC or are used with permission. You may share an ordinary link to a public page and use brief excerpts for personal, noncommercial church-related purposes with attribution. Any broader reproduction, modification, fundraising use, sale, or redistribution requires prior written permission. Scripture quotations and third-party materials remain subject to their respective owners' rights.
6. Photos, recordings, and livestreams
Public worship services and church events may be photographed, recorded, or livestreamed. Attendance in areas where recording is taking place may result in incidental appearance in event media. EBRC will consider reasonable concerns or removal requests, particularly those involving children or safety, but cannot guarantee removal from third-party platforms, recordings already distributed, or archival material.
7. Third-party services and links
The site links to or embeds services operated by Stripe, Google, YouTube, Facebook, and others. Those services are controlled by their own operators and governed by their own terms and privacy policies. EBRC does not control their availability, security, content, or data practices and is not responsible for transactions or interactions that occur entirely on another service.
8. Giving
Online gifts are processed under our Online Giving & Refund Policy and Stripe's applicable terms. Future ticket sales, registrations, merchandise, or other purchases may include separate terms presented at checkout.
9. Availability and disclaimer
The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, EBRC disclaims implied warranties concerning uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site without notice. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EBRC and its pastors, leaders, volunteers, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the site or a third-party service. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.
11. Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute not resolved informally will be handled in a court with jurisdiction in Nassau County, New York, unless applicable law requires otherwise. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new date. Continued use after an update means the revised Terms apply.
